The Fire Station / Arthur Laws Die-cast Toys

On Thursday 16 September our whole school visited our local Matamata Fire Station as part of Room 3 & 9's Firewise Unit.

Those hoses are really powerful.

Wow can you see through all the smoke and flames?

Nakeisha thinks the firemans protective unform helps keep the fire fighters safe when working in dangerous situations.

After morning tea to we all travelled to Mr Law's place to look at his wonderful collection of die-cast toys. He has over 300. Some of them are very valuable and are collectors items. Mr. Muir said that when he was a boy his favourite toy was a piece of wood with a nail in it. If you used your imagination it could be anything you wanted it to be. What are some of your favourite toys?

Alexis and Tanaya loved the models

Brayden made his own model back at school and wrote an interesting story about it. Well done Brayden

Mr Law sent us an email saying how well-behaved we all were
